since feeling is first
who pays any attention
to the syntax of things
will never wholly kiss you;

wholly to be a fool
while Spring is in the world

my blood approves,
and kisses are a far better fate
than wisdom
lady i swear by all flowers. Don’t cry
—the best gesture of my brain is less than
your eyelids’ flutter which says

we are for eachother: then
laugh, leaning back in my arms
for life’s not a paragraph

And death i think is no parenthesis

Do not apologize for crying. Without this emotion, we are only robots.

AMEN <3

Who you want to be is not nearly as important as who you are right now.

I recently heard a story about a pastor that went on a hiking trip with some students. When they reached the top of the mountain, the students looked out over the trees, over the rocks, over the river far below. “This is so beautiful,” they breathed, “Nature is beautiful.” The pastor was quiet for a moment, until he replied, “Yes, but nature wasn’t created in God’s image.”

A prayer.

I want to mirror your immensity.
I want never to be to weak or too old
to bear the heavy, lurching image of you.

I want to unfold.
Let no place in me hold itself closed,
for where I am closed, I am false.
I want to stay clear in your sight.

#1: Write when you don't feel like writing.

Just for safe keeping
I will place my heart in yours
In case I lose it.

There will never be
anyone, anywhere that
loves you like I do.
